← INKFLOWClinical SOPs and NHS-style policies, checked against current guidance
A ward procedure or a care home policy has to say the right thing, cite the current version of the guidance, and survive an inspection. INKFLOW writes clinical SOPs, policies, protocols, care plans and patient information for hospitals, GP practices, clinics, care homes and domiciliary care providers.
Before it writes, it researches the regulations and guidance that apply to your topic, such as NICE guidelines, CQC fundamental standards, HSE, MHRA and UKHSA, and checks for anything that has been replaced, so the document never cites an old version. Policies follow the structure trusts and inspectors expect, from duties and training to an equality impact assessment and how compliance is monitored.
Start a clinical documentHow it works
- 1
Describe the policy or procedure
The topic, the setting and who it is for. Add your current version, local contacts and anything your organisation already decided.
- 2
Guidance checked first
The current national guidance and standards for the topic are researched, each with its issuer and version, and every requirement used in your document is tagged to its source.
- 3
Delivered ready for your approval route
Word and PDF with a document control page, review date, escalation flowcharts, a clinical sign-off page and the list of guidance it was checked against.
What makes it different
Doses are never guessed
A dose, threshold or time limit appears only if your material states it or an official source gives it. Otherwise it is a marked placeholder pointing to the BNF, the product's SPC or local policy.
The structure inspectors expect
Purpose, scope, definitions, duties, the procedure, training, equality impact assessment, monitoring compliance, references, consultation and approval.
Escalation as flowcharts
Who to call, when, and on what trigger is drawn as a diagram, and repeated on a one-page quick-reference card for the wall.
Training pack included
A competency sign-off record, an audit checklist and a ten-question staff knowledge check, all written from the policy itself.
Easy Read and plain English
Patient and carer versions in plain English or Easy Read, in line with the Accessible Information Standard.
Review dates kept
The review date is printed on the document, and you get reminders a month before it, on the date and 90 days after, offering an update against the latest guidance. Each reminder has a link to stop the rest.
Questions
Is this an NHS service?
No. INKFLOW is an independent writing service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NHS. Documents are written to the structure NHS organisations and care providers commonly use.
Is the document clinically approved?
No, and it never claims to be. It is a draft for your clinical governance route: it carries a clinical sign-off page for registered professionals, and every dose must be checked against the BNF and local policy.
Which guidance does it check?
Whatever applies to the topic in your country: for the UK typically NICE, CQC, HSE, MHRA, UKHSA, NHS England and the professional bodies. The list, with versions, is delivered with your document.
Can you update our existing policy?
Yes. Upload it and it is reviewed against current guidance, rewritten, and returned with a review report, a change log and a comparison with your original.
Can a clinician review it for us?
You can ask for a quote for a qualified human reviewer when you order. A person replies with a quote; nothing is charged for it unless you accept.
